Some advice for finding the right class and teacher.
Some questions to ask the instructor/teacher.
★ Are they registered with the Tai Chi Union of Britain? http://www.taichiunion.com/ It isn’t necessary but it does indicate an involvement with the Tai Chi world.
★ Do they have public liability insurance and also professional indemnity insurance? A definite requirement these days.
★ How long have they been teaching?
★ Do they let you come to a free session so you can try before you buy?
★ Value personal recommendations.
You may then consider the convenience of the class, the cost and the required commitment. Sometimes cheapest isn’t always best. Remember that not all Tai Chi is the same, so look around. Never abandon your intuitive sense of the person and what they are offering. Rely on this rather than an overwhelming resumé and you should be in good hands.
Here are the details about my class fees.
Any Heartland Tai Chi student with a commitment to my classes need not exclude themselves on financial grounds. Simply talk to me.
Course Fees
The cost for a 60 minute class is £56 for an 8-week block.
The cost for a 90 minute class is £72 for an 8-week block.
Attending a regular 2nd weekly class is charged at a reduced rate.
It is also possible to attend classes on a pay-when-you-come basis but this is more expensive than a block course booking.
Pay-as-you-go cost £10 per class.
Personal tuition - £45 for one hour.
Personal tuition or small group tuition is often easier for people with busy schedules who can’t commit to coming to regular weekly classes.
If you’d like me to travel to you from Worcester, then there may be an additional charge to cover my travel time.
Please feel free to contact me to discuss courses, classes, personal tuition & training courses for schools and organisations.
Heartland Bursary Fund
If anyone would like to help me to set up a Heartland Bursary Fund, do get in touch. Monies would be used to enable people on restricted incomes to join classes and therefore spread the benefits of Heartland Tai Chi to more people in our community.
